Car will not start

My caddy won't start it has been sitting for awhile so I charged up the battery
and when I tried to start it the lights and everything works but it just clicks and I
cannot get my keys out of the ignition now.

Some times it is necessary to do a battery reset with a new battery. Try this: remove the positive terminal from the battery, wait 5-10 minutes, replace the terminal, count to 10 to allow the computer to fully reset and see if you can start the car.
