Towing a 545i

Asked by Derrick Feb 17, 2019 at 01:26 PM about the 2004 BMW 5 Series 545i Sedan RWD

Question type: General

I parked in the wrong spot of a parking
garage and my car got towed , they had to
have picked up the back tires an hauled it off
that way cause the front was against the wall.
Well ever since paying to get my car out of
tow it has ran extremely rough , like iv got a
flat tire but there isnt one , iv come to learn
that my rear rim is now cracked which it
wasnt like that before and the car itself
makes alot of sounds now ,.like a creaky bed
or something , just alot of squeaking now that
wasnt there before . Can anyone tell me what
possibly could be wrong now , where should I
look,  is my cracked rim the reason it rides so
rough an shakes like it does or does the
squeaky sound have a hand to play in it and
can I hold the tow company responsible for
what they have done to my car ? Is it ok to
haul just any oll car any way they feel like an
not get in trouble for it if something bad
happenes to the car ? Every where I read I
read dont tow a bmw like that , even in the
owners manual it says ways to tow your car .

I would have the rear suspension inspected by a good independent BMW shop. Be sure and replace the cracked wheel immediately!
