I just recently acquired a 1999 BMW 528i. I looked at the fuse box and it is basically empty. There are only about 5-7 fuses in the box. I need to know the fuses needed in the box.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The fuse box does not have all of the fuses and I believe this may be the reason the windows will not function.  Please help.

Usually there's a diagram on the lid or case of wat they go too. If lid is missing go to dealer ask if they are on the lid and buy one.

I have the same problem. My fuse box in the trunk of my 1999 BMW 528i have all most all of its fuses missing. I get no power to my climent control unit. We're is the fuse to give that unit power so I can see my AC

If you open the glovebox and look up, you will see a panel with two 1/4-turn knobs. Untwist them and it'll drop down, and you can pull out a small sheet with a guide to the fuses. The fuses you're looking for are probably in that panel. As for missing fuses in the trunk, there aren't too many fuses back there, so you're probably not missing many, if any.
