2006 Cadillac DTS flapping noise

I have a 06 cadillac dts I have recently went to a
shop to have some work done from changing the
starter to something dealing with a oil leak... I went
to drive off with it and it started making a noise
coming from under the engine.. I left it at the shop
again and they showed me the noise was coming
from the transmission area which sounded like a
flapping or lawnmower noise pretty loud but only
when I pressed the gas pedal it would do the noise
what can it be. I just want to have a idea of what it
can be ?
