Why did my air/heat stop working?

Asked by Guru2FKBF Mar 05, 2020 at 04:23 PM about the 2011 Chevrolet Impala LT FWD

Started the car and turned on the defrost and it just
started “clicking/clanking” in the dash.  I turned the
engine off and it continued for about 30 seconds.  I
turned the car back on and it did it again for about
10 seconds and stopped now I have no heat and
no blowing.
