Hi, my 2011 ford fiesta 1.6 she hatchback
overheated and my head gasket blew. I had it fixed,
the mechanic told me the thermostat is bad so he
took it off completely without replacing it. Now
after all the works he did on the car, Immediately I
start the car, I see coolant in the expansion tank
begins to rise and in ten minutes start pouring out.
What's happening to my car, is it the thermostat he
took off that's bringing all these problems?

Yes, all is fine with my car now. It was the thermostat which stopped working and got the car overheated. After the work done on the car, you need to properly bleed it the get rid of any air trapped in. And I realized another thing, if I fill water to the max line on the expansion tank, it rise when hot and start boiling, so I keep the water level in between the max and low line.
