Yes you can change them, they make kits to replace terminal ends, just make sure the job is done right, no loose or fraying ends. Any auto parts store will have these kits or you can find them online.

The best cable ends solder on. Speed shops sell them. The clamp on type tend to gather a lot of corrosion.
