Oil pressure low

Asked by Guru54B18 Dec 16, 2017 at 09:00 AM about the 2009 BMW M5 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Something wrong with the vanos in my m5! I took it
to Bmw they first perform an diagnose to check for
any fault in the vanos system. They contact me
saying that the line, oil pump, and both electric
pump need to be replace immediately.. then next
day I call my advisor and told him to check the oil,
he said he’s going to talk to his tech and let me
know. Few hours later he contact me saying yes
you def need a oil change also the oil that I had in
the engine was too thin,.. he also said that oil could
be the cause of all fault in my car so I told him ok
then do a oil change.and so they did, but I still have
the oil pressure low in the car also engine light is on
metal shaving in oil... I don’t know what to do not
even Bmw can tell me what’s wrong with the car!!!!
Any one?

Metal shavings in the oil is bad news and you will probably have to rebuild the engine.

About $15,000 - $20,000 for a new engine should fix it right up. You will soon learn why owning a BMW that is out of warranty is a bad idea.
