Pulled Exciter wire off. Cranked car. 14.3v charging now. Code saying "bsd no message" Anybody's thoughts ?
Ok. Plugged Exciter wire back in. Cranked it and no charge . Showing 12.9v . While running I disconnected Exciter wire and it went to charging 14.24v. I'm at a loss. (Ac delco reman alternator with two prongs instead of 1 prong like the original.)
Where does Exciter wire get power from? Can I test it unplugged from alternator?
