My required maintenance light is on in my 2009 Toyota Sienna LE.What does this mean?

I bought the car used from a dealership. There is no paperwork on last maintenance.

scheduled maintenance reminder is probably like my engine oil life reminder, ain't nobody under my hood except a stupid computer calculating mileage since the last time I told it to shut-up. Do you/should you do the required maintenance per schedule -- yes (within reason). I think you should find out what maintenance schedule requires at your mileage and do it .It's just going to be check this,check that, change oil,whatever.
