2008 GMC Acadia rocks back and forth going down highway. Is this a strut issue as we've already put new tires on it,

It might be bad shocks or struts. Try bouncing the car by hand and if it bounces rather than settling down immediately they are probably worn.

Worn upper control arm bushing at rear of car .Jack the rear end up and stick a pry bar under the tire .you will see it move slightly.
