Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i think after getting gas at the bait store....while pulling a boat, i drove
through a pothole that would rival the grand canyon.....and im pretty sure
thats when VSC began to flash at me - along with the slippery when wet
traction control symbol and then the check engine light stayed on......and i
lost power.  you know how hard it is to get a pontoon out of the lake in limp
mode.....well, as all the bystanders watching me can attest.....difficult with a
mixture of hilarity.  this is a 2wd truck....and i have another with the small
"beast mode" v8....and i still prefer this engine....but not in limp mode.  i will
go to oreillys to see about codes....but are we thinking abs sensors? abs
wiring?  what are speed sensors? and where are they?  i really cant
remember if i hit that pothole with the front end or the rear....or both.  oh
yeah, i forgot to mention i drained and added more tranny fluid
today....because im the type that cant tell the difference between tranny
problems or limp mode....AND because after i pulled it out of the lake with
gas pedal to the floor ....the A/T TEMP light got to come on and say
hello.....but it went out after about 10 minutes of idle.  i tow with this truck
and im not sure how much weight im supposed to pull with it, so i figured
new A/T fluid couldnt hurt...but it didnt help and i spilled all 5 quarts or
whetever that i drained out....and it smells.  so yeah, fun weekend.

You probably just damaged a wheel sensor.
