Just wondering if anybody knows if a 2000
Subaru 2.5 sohc short block well work in a
2008 Subaru Impreza 2.5 if I switch cam
gear and sensors and heads Will that work
or is there clearance issues

The 2000 engine is probably an EJ251 SOHC and the 2008 is likely an EJ254 which is a DOHC engine so the answer would be NO.

The '08 2.5i is most probably a SOHC as well, so the answer would be YES. Mind the EGR plumbing and test the heads before reassembly.

Yeah they're both Sohc I was just wondering about Clarence on the valves I know a 2008 will not fit a 2000 because of the dumb top Pistons done it before and had to grind them Pistons down
