How do I find the correct engine?

Question type: General

How do I find the correct engine to put back in the car. With previous cars,
there is always a letter or number on the vin that tells you what engine needs
to go in the car. I’m in need of assistance here. Can someone bring me up to
speed? Also, how would I know if I have a JCW engine?

The eighth character of the VIN is the engine code. Hope that helps! Jim
