Question type: General

Are land cruisers more durable than 4runners? I am told the 4runner v8 uses the same engine but price difference between the two is too much.

Is an alluminium engine block as durable as Iron?

To add. The 4runner is more of a family car, SUV, than the Land Rover, a British manufactured tank, more for a safari in Kenya than going to soccer practice

The engines in Land Cruisers and 4Runners are not the same. The Land Cruiser has a 5.7 liter V8, and the 4Runner has a 4.0 liter V6. A Land Cruiser costs about twice as much as a 4Runner. Of course the Land Cruiser is beefier and more durable than a 4Runner. You get what you pay for.

Your Answer:

Land Cruiser
