Why is it that when I get off the highway after driving for a little while and driving back in the city my car won't accelerate right I push on the gas but it won't get up and go. Please help

the car off and back on it seems to
stop for a little while then starts again

Get the codes read at the parts store. Write down the trouble code number and post it here. Someone will advise the most cost effective solution. There may be pending codes that have not lit the CEL yet.
