Will 24 inch rims fit on my 2008 malibu?

I think they would..but will my motor/transmission hold up to the size?

No 24" will not fit. It has nothing to do with the engine/trans. Its the size of the wheel wells. I would say the biggest you could put on that sized car without doing any suspension mods is 20" at the most. It may only be 18". The front tires not only have to fit they have to turn as well.
