Chevy cobalt not starting

I bought a 2008 chevy cobalt and now it won't start. Code p0016 came up and
we put new sensors on it and new plugs and a new battery. It gets spark from
the coil pack, fuel pump is fine. It just cranks and cranks but doesn't start. It
doesn't sound like the timing chain. Someone please help!
