Well, it IS a Cruiser after all. Seriously though. There is the sound coming from, when did it start, anything unusual happen be precipitate noise happening. How many miles, last oil change, what is your definition of it sounding like a motor boat?

Either it is a Boat, or you have a 'Struck' 'Burned' Valve(S). Fixable but costly~don't take to dealer, but your friendly, honest, local Import Repair Shop! Or call 'Click and Clack'~
