Timing belt not changed

Asked by GuruZRD4H Feb 25, 2020 at 04:29 AM about the 2008 Toyota Camry Solara SLE Convertible

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Should a person purchase a 2008 at 120000 if timing belt hasn't been
changed?  Can it run another 50000 without changing if it runs smooth?

Change it. If the belt goes, it can cause a lot of damage that could have been avoided. Much cheaper to prevent the damage, rather then spend money fixing it. Plus, you could do it yourself. Just do the water pump and accessory belts while you're in there.
