2008 Chevy Tahoe Z71 4wheel drive hanging up.

Asked by wifestahoe Aug 25, 2014 at 09:33 PM about the 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2008 Chevy Tahoe Z71 usually stays in auto.  Lately the 4w drive has been engaging on its own on dry concrete and will not disengage.  Have to turn car off and let sit for awhile before it resets on its own. While engaged, tried to put into high with no success.  Any info on this situation would be helpful. Thank you
