I'm considering a 2008 Solstice GPX from CarMax

Asked by Shuqueen Aug 19, 2011 at 02:07 AM about the 2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I cant afford the warranty for 1947.00 and I'm worried about this pending purchase because the reviews reflect issues of reliability. Can anyone tell me if they have experienced any issues with 2008-2009 cars? Does anyone know if my car will qualify for 100k mile train warranty?

Solstice are junk. The Miata is alot better and parts are so much more readily avalible. The top and trunks on solstice are crap the engine in under powered and the Supercharged are unreliable. It is the same motor they put in Cobalts, and Saturn Ions.

I own a 07 GXP and have never had any issues. It only has 20K miles but I'm very happy with it and drive it as a daily driver. The turbo has tons of power and the top is easy to take up and down. The trunk doesn't have much room but I've fit around 7 bags of groceries in there.
