2008 PONTIAC G5
MY 2008 PONTIAC G5 STARTED OVER HEATING
SO I TOOK THE HEATER HOSE AND THE OTHER
HOSE AND CLAMPED IT OFF AND IT WAS
SUPPOSED TO STOP OVER HEATING EVERYONE
SAID BUT IT DIDNT IT'S STILL OVER HEATING
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM IF THAT DIDNT STOP THE
OVER HEATING PROBLEM WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?
Over heating is usually cause by low coolant in the canister and/or the radiator. A stuck shut thermostat. And check to see if the radiator fans come on when engine is hot. But clamping off the heater hose won't help. You only do that when the heater is leaking. And stopping the coolant flow through the heater may make it worse.
