Had to have my 2008 Saturn VUE XE towed on Saturday. Was driving fine and even the the car was on and running I lost drive. It wouldnt do anything and I coasted to the curb. Never had any problems previously. Still waiting for someone at the former Saturn service to take a look at the car. Any suggestions? Could this be a pricey fix. It has around 87000 miles.

Most likely the transmission will need rebuilt. $2000-$3000

Is there any warranty or guarantee if it is rebuilt? I have 2 more car payments left and not sure I want to put that kind of money into it. Thoughts? Thanks so much!

I think jasper is 3 year 36,000 miles, others 1 year 12000 miles

I have a Saturn Manual 2007 Vue. In the AM clutch pedal flops to floor and cant shift until I turn car off ...put it into gear and pump clutch alot to get air going through. Then I can drive but stick feels stiff. I was told transmission had to be removed to get to the slave cylinder to fix. Over 1000.00 Can I try bleeding the system to see if there is a way I can avoid this cost?? Car has 170, 000 miles and I bought it 6 months ago. 14 Answers

Can it be something other than the Slave Cylinder? No visible leaking or drop in brake/clutch fluid. But a swollen cap on clutch resevoir and fluid is dark.

the battery light came on car was running but lights went out . Checked the battery fuild it was low. add water..not sure if i should have and had someone jump start it and everything ran for a few min and lights.
