Asked by Brianna Jan 02, 2021 at 02:55 PM about the 2004 Buick Century Custom Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

QUESTION
What part of the car is this? Should I replace just  part of this pipe or the
entire thing?
DETAILS
This very long pipe under my car (I'm assuming the exhaust pipe) is on the
ground. The part of the pipe near the front of the car is on the ground while
the back part is still attached to the car. The car starts but makes a loud
aggressive noise and I smell gas

Take it to a muffler shop and they will fix you up. Use some wire to hold up the exhaust pipe on the way to the muffler shop.

Call the police! Seriously, it looks like your catalytic converter has been stolen!! Catalytic converters have precious metals in them and people, usually drug addicts, will steal them and get money for them at the scrap yard!! Hope that helps! Jim
