Most things last if you take care of them. That said, did the previous owner take care of it? Don't know a whole lot about hondas other than they are pretty well made and usually reliable. If you have any misgivings about the car or are suspect of some fault, please go see a professional, someone who is certified and/or recommended and trusted by people you know.

I've owned my Vigor since 1995 and have always maintained the transmission fluid per the maintenance schedule, using only Honda ATF (DW-1 or Z-1). Never had a problem, now has 247k miles and counting.

Had a vigor for 5 years. Sold it and the new owner finally got rid of it with 326,000 miles on it. The car never once needed a repair. Fluids were always kept up.
