RSX type s

Asked by Kayla Oct 21, 2019 at 08:26 PM about the 2003 Acura RSX Type-S FWD

Question type: General

Okay, I have an 03 RSX type S. Only modification is
an intake an easy exhaust. When I originally bought
the car , the car had power. I had an oil leak and
blew the engine. I got an engine from a JDM
dealership and now my car sounds like a diesel and
has no power. The transmission locked up and I
just got it rebuilt. I’m looking to make the car have
more power and I don’t know where to begin. Again
the car is stock. Any ideas that won’t entirely break
the bank?

I too have an 03 ' S Was there any warranty on the engine? It sounds like your knocking ALL over the place! check your knock sensor, there should be a code. It's located frt/center below intake left of starter. 25$ from dealership. There should be some codes! let me have em'. Most local parts stores will check them for free.
