Service Engine Light 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe

My service engine soon light is flashing.  About a flash per second.  When at a stop, the car idles very rough almost to the point where the car shakes a little.  Any thought of what that could be???

Best go and get the code, codes read, write them down and post back here for help. Auto Zone, you can use their scanner for free.

You have a misfire. That's the only reason a engine light flashes. Don't drive your truck long like this
