Question type: General

At 70 mph my chevy Tahoe 2004 4x4 is tacking 2300 rpms. Is this proper or is my OD not working?

Check your build sheet to see what the final drive ratio is.

I feel 2300 is acceptable. Count your gear shifts, there will be 4 gears (that means 3 changes). And there is torque converter lockup that happens after 45mph with low throttle. It can feel like a shift. Like they said though, looking up your build sheet or RPO codes will tell you your gear ratio. 3.08's will act very differently than 3.73's

So what I'm getting at it's at 2-21/2 at 60-70 mph. That ok?
