What does it mean when the battery
arrow is closer to h is it time for a new
battery?

Careful. The gauge showing the status of the electrical system is usually marked with numbers between10 and 20 - not an H. The temp gauge has variations of numbers, or C and H, or both and if you are seeing it point to H, you may be having a temperature problem, not a battery (electrical) problem.
