Will a 2003 ford escape 3.6 engine work in my 2003 ford
explorer? Which came with the 4.0 sohc.

The Escape has a 3.0 engine. No it won't work in the Exploder.

Sure why not. Do you have a suitcase full of money? Does it matter that it won't be smog legal?
