Brake lights stay on

Working on a 2007 Mini Cooper 1.6L FI 4cyl, the
brake lights stay on when the car is turned off, but
when you start the car the brake lights go back to
working normally...... any ideas please help

It could be a glitch in the car’s electrical system, if the car goes back to working normal then it shouldn’t be a huge deal. If your still not sure, I recommend using a diagnostics tool or taking it to a mechanic to get fixed. I hope this helps.
