Electrical/power issue

Asked by GuruLG6TY May 07, 2019 at 08:22 AM about the 2007 Land Rover LR3 HSE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving down the road and I started losing power. My LR3 didn’t stop
but it lost acceleration from 65 down to 30. When I pulled over I turned the
engine off and then it would turn over…It was like the battery was dead. I
had some one jump me and it started right up but had no operation on the
dashboard gauges, all dash warning lights were flashing and wouldn’t go into
drive. The battery is new and was tested and is fine.

What is going on?      Electrical…Transmission…computer issue??

Yes, the alternator was the problem. Fixed and running great! Thank you for your response!

My engine starts up again but rpms go up and down again. It will not idle. What could cause this?
