My starter relay one of the Pins was severely corroded to the point the socket was done and no way to fix it So to get around the astronomical price for replacement parts I retrofitted another relay from Amazon Ehdis [2 Pack] Car Automotive Truck Boat 40 AMP Relay Harness 12V 40A SPDT Relay Socket Plug 5 Pin 5 Wire Bosch Style $14.99 I disassembled the relay box an the connection in question pulled right out The wires in question Small red with Gray Tracer,/ Common 12vdc for all the relays in the relay box Small Blue with Gray Tracer / Return wire to the ignition switch Large Blue wire with Gray Tracer / Relay Power to the motor starter Large Red Wire with Gray Tracer/ 12vdc to power the starter 1) Remove Battery for ease of access to the Relay Box 2) Remove and disassemble the relay box 3) Locate and clip the wires as close to the connector as possible be careful that you only cut the wires you want to and by doing this will allow you enough length when done to mount the relay to the inside of the fender 4) Then connect to the new relay You can crimp but I don't advise this, as crimped connection have been known to fail quickly if you don't have a high end ratcheting crimp tool with the proper dies to match the crimps you are using, so I soldered and shrink tubed mine Connect as follows to the new relay Small Red w/Gray Tracer to Red Coil connection Small Blue w/Gray Tracer to Yellow Coil Connection Large Red w/Gray Tracer to Black Contact Connection Large Blue w/Gray Tracer to Blue Contact Connection If done correctly you should have enough wire left to mount the relay to the inner fender panel with a self tapping Screw
