Can any explain to me why the key sometimes get locked in the acc when turning off. Its a 2007 the kia sportage?

The key gets stuck in the acc when turning off the vehicle can anybody tell me on how to fix it

tumbelers in key switch are wearing out,your local locksmith can replace the switch and fit your key to it.

Thank you so much. 2012 Kia. Been trying everything to remove the key. Removed to positive cable from the battery, turned like starting it and turned it off and the key came right out. Some electronic ignition switch defective I guess.
