Buying a Car & Deciding

Asked by Anthony Nov 15, 2016 at 12:08 AM about the 2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport HSE

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

So I'm planning to purchase a 2006 Land Rover
Range Rover Sport HSE for $10,998. The car has
143,741 miles on it already. Should I purchase it or
skip it ? Is this car worth buying ? Will the car last
with the miles on it ?

Skip the Rover. These things are black holes for your money.

I bought 2008 Range Rover Sport HSE last year with 90,000 miles and it's been running well, no black hole. but I know alot of people have said they are money pits. So Far have been lucky and its a dream to drive, I love mine , MaryAnn

I bought an 06 HSE in 2009 off lease with 39k on it and drove it to 110k with zero problems. got scared and sold it. loved the car. I replaced it with another 06 with 56k on it three years ago and have 135k on it now... only things that I've done other than tires and brakes etc are: brake caliper (1), tie rods and replace some sway bar bushings. Both rovers have been two of MOST reliable cars Ive owned in my 42 years of owning cars (about 130+). the only car more trouble free was an 89 300te that I had for 189k over ten years. I replaced that with a 2000 e class that was horrible. But my "Blackhole" car was a 2003 CL550 AMG... OMG The "ford" era Rovers with the jag engines (06+) are great!!
