Hi - does anyone know why the oil light flashes

Have you pulled the engine oil dipstick to check the oil level? Follow the instructions in the Owner's Manual and get back to us with results.

Thx. Took it to the repair shop and they said the oil was low. They filled it up and it's ok now. But it's only been 1 month, and less than 1,000 miles so something is obviously wrong. They don't know what is causing the car to burn oil so fast (no leak was found). Do you have any guesses?I will have to keep an eye on the oil level and probably come back to the repair shop in a couple weeks.

If this is a 4 cylinder 2AZ-FE....you possible have a defect, that Toyota has recognized and has extended the warranty on the 2AZ-FE engine to 150,000 miles. Google your make model year and..... "excessive engine oil consumption".....and get back to us with results.
