Asked by Federícö May 15, 2018 at 05:37 AM about the 1990 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I installed some full length headers on my 1990
c1500 350 5.7L . After the install I noticed loss of
power after a few weeks. Doesnt burn out like it
used too. I cant even do a donut anymore . Seems
like engine just revs up when attempting to do a
donut . Recently c1500 seems to die then come
back to normal when at a complete stop &
followed by a hard gas pedal press. Also forgot to
mention that there is a rattling that occurs only
when c1500 is moving . When c1500 is in park &
revved. Rattling does not occur. Mainly sounds like
somethings hitting.

Could be more than 1 problem here, rattling could be tranny, low power could be engine management system. Any codes? Does live data show any sensors out of specs, O2, ECT, trans sensors, etc.
