Will a 4.3L engine in a 1989 GMC 1500 be compatible with a 1995 Chevy K1500? Both engines are throttle body fuel injection.

My son has a 1995 Chevy K1500 4X4 with a 4.3L engine that is killed. We found another
4.3L out of a 1989 GMC 1500 4x4. Need to know if it is compatible to the 95. They are
both Throttle Body Fuel Injection. Not sure if the computer will be the same. (If it has one)

Should be the same,may need to change intake,but every thing else should work,and as far as computer,if the ECM number,s match,should run the motor,If not his ECM can be programmed to it.
