My question is why does the 6 speed automatic transmission in my 2012

Yes, the fluid was at the correct level,, however it was very burnt, and smelly. I dropped the pan today and cleaned everything really spotless, installed a new filter, added new fluid, and now it works just fine. Thank you for your time, and consideration.
