Does a 1990 buick century custom crank sensor unscrew

Asked by James1951buick Jul 29, 2015 at 09:04 PM about the 1990 Buick Century Custom Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have a 1990 Buick Century Custom with a 3.3 engine. We was wondering when you go to take off the crank sensor, does it unscrew and will it leak oil.

Thanks,
Jim

The sensors I have changed usually have a bolt holding them in .should not lose any oil.

You must remove the harmonic balancer to replace the sensor. You must also re-align the sensor with 30 thousands of an inch ...
