Chrysler Sebring convertible - A/C and Heat fan only works on high settings

Asked by Kimberly Jun 03, 2014 at 02:50 PM about the 2006 Chrysler Sebring Convertible FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Put two lower settings on and nothing, 2 higher settings and the a/c and heat works fine.  This is a new problem for me.  Is this the ac/heating control unit and if so, what is the estimated cost of repair.

Hoping this is a cheap repair because my car has 138,000 miles on it and I don't want to spend much money.

Help please.

Thank you.

Try going to a junk yard and get a control setup from the dash of another sebring or stratus try that as a replacement. That happened to my 02 sebring and it worked fine after. should only cost $20-$40 depending where you go.

Thank you so much. What is the control set up called? I may call my local mechanic guy and ask him what they'll charge. Is it called the heater/air conditioner control setup or is there another name for this?

Heater Instrument Panel. Don't let them charge you too much. to replace it, all they do is remove the face plate around the radio and panel ( no screws involved ) then the unplug to 2 wires attached and unscrew 4 screws to remove and replace it. it's an easy 10 minute fix.
