2007 grand prix won't crank

Asked by GuruV6GRF Sep 13, 2018 at 05:48 PM about the 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: General

My 2007 Pontiac grand prix won't crank sometimes.  Lately this has been happening once or twice a week.  The starter is new and the battery is 2 yrs old.  I hear a clicking sound while trying to start and sometimes there is no sound.   When I disconnect the battery and then reconnect the battery the car will start.  Any ideas how to diagnose and fix this issue.

Sounds like loose connections or bad grounds to me. I'd start there, and yes, make sure the battery is fully charged.
