How's the car going for you?? I'm guessing its either nickel and diming you to death or you've already gotten rid of it for just that reason. The Lucerne with the caddy V-8 is/was a total piece of junk. The Northstar has got to be one of the worse oil leaking engines ever created by mankind!!! The engine itself runs good but is notorious for oil leaks from everywhere on it. Have fun if the alternator ever goes out, or should I say "when" it goes out which it eventually will, because that's going to be a $800-$1100 repair bill depending on what part of the country you live. And the Northstar equipped Lucerne CXS was plagued with electrical and computer issues too!!! New shocks and struts replaced (which will wear out) on the CXS Lucerne = $2500-$3000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The ideal Lucerne to buy is the one with the "near" bulletproof 3.8 liter V-6. Give me the 3.8 liter Lucerne CXL any day over any of the V-8 models!!!!!!!!!
