transmission replacement

Asked by Guru3373R Aug 01, 2020 at 02:56 PM about the 1997 Saturn S-Series 4 Dr SL2 Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

To preface, I have 31 years of experience working on cars, but have never
had to change a tranny in any of the front-wheel drive cars that I have owned.
My car is automatic, a 1997 SL2. I was fairly confident about this job until
reading hundreds of Saturn S-series questions and answers. Can someone
who is experienced with Saturn auto trans replacement tell me, is this a job
that I can do (on my back) without pulling the engine??
