Saturns are a great little car for the money (before they were subsumed back into GM), I'd keep it as a 1.9L and find a replacement motor, however it's only worth it if you can do the work yourself or have access to a used motor cheap, as you can find yourself upside in the car, value-wise. Saturn's Achilles's heel is they suffer from rust of the engine cradle, and one can find typically find a decent engine in a junked car for that reason.
