My 2007 pt cruiser won't start.

Asked by GuruTMHPP Jul 21, 2018 at 09:46 PM about the 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Found that if I moved in and out of park a couple
times it would start, but now that's not even working.
Has power to everything else. I did have to replace
the brake pedal sensor switch when it got locked in
park a couple months ago. Could this be the problem
or is it something else?

The problem most likely lies with the neutral safety switch. A quick (but not definitive) test is to put the car in neutral and try to start it
