Took the battery out of my 2001 GMC Sierra now it starts right up then dies

can get my truck running again

I would get a fuel pressure tester , that model may need a specific fuel pressure to run , just having it won't do , or test for spark , fuel+spark+compression=vroom other things can fail by pure coincidence
