Asked by Fordman0530 Apr 15, 2016 at 08:28 AM about the 1996 Chevrolet Blazer LS 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When this Blazer has sat for more than about 30 minutes it will not start unless
I put about 1 tbls of gas into the plenum, once I bump the starter after that it will
START and run great all day, as long as it has not set for more than the 30 min.
Here is the list of things accomplished, not all related to trouble shooting;
Fuel pump (twice)
Fuel filter
Pick up coil
MAP sensor
Idle air control valve
Fuel pressure test will hold 55 psi over night
Fuel pressure will not drop with pump electricly disconnected and cranking
Snap on live diagnosis showed everything perfect while running

I took the battery by and had it tested, it checked good. I changed the intake air sensor with no luck. She still will not start if it has been turned off for more than 30 minutes, unless it's primed. Once she is started she runs great.
