What is the cause of this issue ?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So asking for some insight, if anyone is aware of this issue
and what it may be ? I have a 2007 Toyota Corolla S and
for the past 2-3 months or so, it has been randomly
shutting off. So I would turn on my hazards  lights, to let
the drivers around me know and I would put the car in
park ( remember it stops randomly even in the middle of
me driving ) turn off the car completely and then turn it
back on, and it will always turn on. No engine light is on, it
just passed inspection, a month and a half ago. Today for
the first time, I parked it went inside my destination, came
back and would not start at all. The brake pad is stiff and
the gas as well somewhat ... the car turns on, ( brakes
lights, head lights, power windows go up and down) just
no engine and I don’t hear a clicking sound ). If anyone
can help me and lead me in the right direction into what it
may be ? Or if not any recommendations on a Repair
garage that does good work and is loyal but not overly
expensive and or does a diagnostics test to see what’s
the underline issue. Thank you in advance. — looking for
recommendations.

fuel pump..this happened to me...the dealer couldn't pinpoint it on the diagnostic machine because it was so random..but started doing it more often and finally I just asked him to buy the pump and replace it. it was about 500 to replace but worth it,hasn't shut off since...this was maybe 4-5 years ago.
